WE ARE HOME

View from the neighbors house-

We've been in 10 days ,  a lot has happened.
1. rooms are set up
2. lights have been hung.
3. chimneys are being 'righted'.  new flues, new bricks., new heat flues
4. dropped chandelier , smashed to smithereens
5. removed cast iron stove, cleaned gutters
6. BOXES!
7. New Years party, with 15 sleepovers.

My Old college Roomies had a great time together with our teenagers. Sloppy joes and all the fixings.

1 DAY and a WAKE UP

 

Gathering the last minute Packings.

What do I save  to wear for closing? Are my clothes going to disappear for weeks.

Searching for documents from 10 years ago, packed???

Chanukah is here, I need to find Latkes for  the kids, not to mention some gelt and a wanted gift.

Movers here today, no work  (outside the home).

Airplane crashed on 287 yest, thankfully I went north from Boonton to see M & D , not south to home.

Good bye Roe, you were a lovely home.

A stream of info racing through my brain, must   stay   away             from     my         Kryptonite, ( more on that in future posts).

Different Agendas

We all move at different paces with different ideas of what is important. 
I , of course, think my idea is the correct one. It doesn't go over well with the 4 men of this household.
I am clearly outnumbered in size, thought and gender.


I do what I think is right and need to manage the rest.

INSPECTORS CLEAUSEAU....

The day consisted of INSPECTORS and their agendas.
The realtor and I nervously awaited each inspector and their final calls. We had fire, building , electrical and plumbing.  The verdict is out until Monday.


Through this process, I discovered a plumbing company that gouged us ( RUSSO PLUMBING) and a fabulously ,helpful handyman   (Nelson)and Plumber ( ABLE).


They saved us and corrected any problem we provided.


CLOSING DATE for Roe is WED 12/21. THUR 12/22 for Hardscrabble. 
Today is a packing day and lining up all utilities.


There was male golfing yest, as well as the 'Heavenly 7'.

I spent the afternoon in the RN office, fun for every once in a while.

We are managing this as a team, my perception.

We have many capable people that are working with us, and for that we are grateful.

Oh yes, and other grateful things...

1. THE KIDS - they are making this move a pleasure and something to look forward to..

2.FRIENDS- they are there when we call and oh so supportive of our crazy idea.

I know this will work and we may be in soon. I cannot wait for creating our new home.
